OLTON MUSTANGS BLAST VEGA LONGHORNS, 93-32

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team opened district play on Friday with a blowout victory over the Vega Longhorns, 93-32. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 16-1 overall, 1-0 in district play. Olton came out hot with a 22-point first quarter, taking a, 22-9, lead into the second frame.

Lady Wolverines fall short against #5 Rankin

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team picked up a game during their open date against the TABC 5th ranked Rankin. They fell to the Lady Devils, 82-,61, in their neutral site contest at Ira. With the loss, the Lady Wolverines fall to 9-4 overall on the season.

Nettes rally past Sundown, 52-50

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team rallied past the Sundown Roughettes at home on Friday, 52-50. With the win, the Nettes improve to 10-11 overall, 3-0 in district play.
