Hornets scheduled to host Crosbyton for Homecoming

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team came up short in their neutral site game against Stamford at Post last week. They are looking to turn things around this week for Homecoming with Crosbyton coming to town. “We have played a really tough schedule so far,” Head Coach John Cornelius said.

Hornets XC team has strong outing at Whitharral Meet

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team competed at the Whitharral Invitational on Saturday. Drew Lockhart led the Hornets on Saturday, placing fourth overall, clocking a time of 18:42.34, while Alan Flores finished sixth with a time of 19:11.

Lady Wolverines place third at Plainview

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park, where they placed third overall, first out of 1A schools. Sophomore, Taytum Goodman, ran a blistering 10:52.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park, where they placed third overall, first out of 1A schools. Senior, Josh Samaron, placed fifth overall with a time of 17:37.

S-E JV Lady Wolverines place second at Plainview Meet

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ JV cross country team competed at the Plainview Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at Running Waters Draw Regional Park, where they placed second overall. Freshman, Riley Furr, placed ninth overall with a time of 16:08.

The Amherst Bulldogs’ varsity football team ran away with the ballgame in the fourth quarter on Friday, as they 45’ed the Wellman-Union Wildcats, 62-14, with 4:34 remaining in the fourth quarter. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 3-1 overall on the season.

WILDCATS READY FOR TEST AGAINST IDALOU THIS WEEK

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team stayed unbeaten last week, with a miraculous fourth quarter comeback to down Post, 21-20, at Wildcat Stadium. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 3-0 overall on the season.
