Anton boys XC team takes third at District; advances to Regionals

The Anton Bulldogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview on Tuesday. They placed third overall with 67 points, qualifying them for Regionals. The Bulldogs were led by freshman, Adrian Castillo, who finished 13th overall with a time of 21:44.47.

Anton girls XC team advances one to Regionals

The Anton Lady Dogs’ varsity cross country team competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview on Tuesday. Freshman, Isabela Juarez, qualified for Regionals, when she placed 10th overall, clocking a time of 14:20.38. Sophomore, Madison Campos, finished 16th with a time of 14:55.

WILDCATSN DROP HEART-BEAKER TO DALHART, 41-32

It was the tale of two halves for the Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team on Friday night, as they dropped a heartbreaker at home to the Dalhart Wolves, 41-32. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 3-5 overall, 0-2 in district play.

BRINGING HOME THE GOLD – The Springlake-Earth Wolverines and Lady Wolverines’ varsity and girl’s JV cross country teams competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet, which was held at Plainview High School on Tuesday. All three teams took first place overall to claim the District Championships.

Wolverine XC team wins District 4-1A Meet

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity cross country team placed first at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview with 18 points. Senior, Josh Samaron, led the team, placing first overall with a time of 18:16.18. Senior, Trace Goodman, placed second overall with a time of 18:26.

S-E JH cross country teams take first at District Meet

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines and Lady Wolverines’ junior high cross country teams placed first at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Plainview. The boys finished with 18 points, while the girls finished with 43 points.

LADY CATS FALL IN FOUR SETS AT BROWNFIELD

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team fell on the road on Saturday to the Brownfield Lady Cubs, 1-3. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 4-2 in district play.
