Springlake-Earth senior, Josh Samaron, wrapped up his cross country career earlier this year, making his fourth trip to the State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock, Tx. “It feels good to have been able to compete against the best in the state for four consecutive years,” he said.

Mustangs blast Lockney, 74-31

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team pushed their winnings streak to three games to open the season, as they took down Lockney on the road last Tuesday, 74-31. With the win, the Mustangs are 3-0 overall on the season.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team ends the year with a number of athletes earning post-season honors. Senior, Ty’Jae Chambers, leads the list earning first team All-District honors as a running and defensive end.

WOLVERINES SELECTED TO ALL-DISTRICT TEAMS

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team racked up the post-season All-District Awards, led by senior, Evan DeLeon, who was named the District’s Offensive MVP and senior, Keshan Holmes, who was named the District’s Defensive MVP.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team took down the Monahans Lady Loboes on Tuesday, 50-25, at Wildcat Gym. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 3-3 overall on the season. Senior, Ashtyn Parker, was fouled on an attempt by Adrianna Hernandez, earning a trip to the line.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team rallied back at home on Tuesday night to take down the Lubbock Christian Lady Eagles, 58-54. With the win, the Nettes improve to 6-4 overall on the season.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ picked up their first win of the season on Monday on the road against Plains, 76-37. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 1-1 overall on the season. Springlake-Earth jumped out to a, 22-10, lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
