The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team pitched a shut-out, en route to a, 49- 0, throttling of West Texas at Mustang Stadium on Friday night. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 6-3 overall, 2-2 in District play.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team fell to the Denver City Fillies on Tuesday at Friona, 1-3, in a seeding game to determine where both teams will enter the play-offs.

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team ran at the Region I-1A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday, where they finished sixth overall as a team with 173 points.

Samaron heading to State as Wolverines place 8th at Regional XC Meet

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity cross country team ran at the Region I-1A Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday, where they finished eighth overall as a team with 187 points. Senior, Josh Samaron, placed 10 th overall, clocking a time of 19:07.

Hornets finish 16th at Regional XC Meet

'The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team finished 16 th overall on Monday with 420 points at the Region I-2A Regional Cross Country Meet, which was held at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. Senior, Edgar Delgado, finished 53 rd overall with a time of 21:40.

Nettes place 8th at Region I-2A XC Meet

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity cross country team placed eighth overall on Monday with 276 points at the Region I-2A Regional Cross Country Meet, which was held at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. Freshman, Addisyn Harrell, placed 44 th overall with a time of 14:30.

Acevedo, Martinez represent Littlefield at Regional XC Meet

Littlefield senior cross country runner, Brianna Acevedo, finished 151 st at the Region I-3A Cross County Meet, which took place at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Monday. She clocked a time of 16:26.4. On the boy’s side, sophomore, Omar Martinez, finished 97 th with a time of 20:52.2.
