Lady Wolverines fall to Muleshoe

The Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team fell on the road on Friday against the Muleshoe Lady Mules, 54-48. Senior, Halee Toscano, tallied 20 points and four rebounds, while junior, Emma Samaron, chipped in 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Amherst falls to Groom in firstround play-off match-up, 44-24

The Amherst Bulldogs’ season ended last Friday with a 44-24 loss to the Groom Tigers in the Bi-District round of the UIL Class 1A-2 High School Football Playoffs at Mitchell Zimmerman Field in Lockney.

Nettes fall short against Canadian at JW Classic

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team competed at the Randall High School Willcoxson Classic on Saturday, where they fell to the Canadian Lady Cats, 41-38. With the loss, the Nettes fall to 1-2 overall on the season.

Sudan clips eagles, 43-12, to claim bi-district title

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team defeated the Ropes Eagles in Slaton on Friday, 43-12, to claim the Class 2A Bi-district Championship and advance to the 2A Area Round of the play-offs. The hornets totaled 383 yards of total offense, including 203 rushing yards and 180 passing yards.

Nettes blast Vega, 74-39, for first win of season

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team picked up their first win of the season on Tuesday night with a, 74-39, victory on the road against the Vega Lady Horns. With the win, the Nettes improved to 1-1 overall on the season.

Wolverines blast Spur to claim 1A Bi-district title

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team won a back-and-forth contest over the Spur Bulldogs, 50-42, in Lockney on Thursday night to claim the 1A Bi-district Championship. With the win, the Wolverines improve to 8-3 overall on the season.

Mustangs take down Whirlwinds, 39-27

The Olton Mustangs’ took down the Floydada Whirlwinds, 39-27, to secure the number two seed coming out of District 22A D-I. With the win, the Mustangs finish the season 6-4 overall, 32 in district play.

Wildcat football season comes to a close against Eagles

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team had their season come to a close on Friday night at Wildcat Stadium, as they fell to the Roosevelt Eagles, 42-20, on senior night. With the loss, the Wildcats finish the season with a mark of 6-4 on the year.
