Lady Cats pull away late from Roosevelt, 65-39

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team pulled away in the second half of Wednesday’s district contest with Roosevelt, taking down the Lady Eagles, 65-39.With the win, the Lady Cats are 19-10 overall, 8-4 in district play.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team got off to a quick start on Tuesday, as they cruised past the Muleshoe Mules, 47-15, in their first meeting of district play.With the win, the Wildcats improve to 15-10 overall, 53 in district play.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team closed out the first half of district play on Friday with a road loss to Idalou, 66-33.With the loss, the Lady Cats end the first half of district play, 5-3.Nia Cleveland was fouled on an attempt by Bricelyn Patschke, earning a trip to the line.

Wolverines collect more post-season football awards

The Springlake- Earth Wolverines’ football team recently earned some more post-season honors, led by Victor Juarez, who was named All-State Honorable Mention Spread Center; All-Region first Team Spread Center and Honorable Mention Noseguard.
