The Olton varsity track teams competed at the Region I-2A Track and Field Meet at West Texas A&M Track and Field Complex in Canyon on Friday and Saturday. Individual results are as follows: Boy’s 100-meter dash 4th Josh Granillo 10.87 Boy’s 200-meter dash 3rd Jason Granillo 22.

Anton track teams compete at Regionals

The Anton boy’s and girl’s varsity track teams competed at the Region I-1A Track Meet at South Plains College on Friday and Saturday. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 800-meter run 15th Madison Campos 3:05.58 Girl’s 3,200-meter run 14th Jessica Rodriguez 15:54.
STATE QUALIFIERS - Springlake-Earth juniors, Taytum Goodman and Emma Samaron, both qualified for the State Track Meet in Austin this past weekend at the 1A Regional Track Meet. Goodman set two Regional record in the women’s 3,200-meter run and the 1,600-meter run and also took first in the 800-meter run. The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity track team placed fifth at the Region I-1A Track Meet at South Plains College on Friday and Saturday with 46 points. Individual results are as follows: Girl’s 800-meter run 1st Taytum Goodman 2:15.21 5th Aabriella Villanueva 2:35.
The Springlake-Earth Junior High Wolverines’ track team brought home to first place finishes and a third place finish at the District Track Meet. The 4x100-meter relay team of Riley Ball, Levi Hill, Nathan Ramos and Brian Longoria clocked a first-place time of 50.19, while the 4x400-meter relay team of Ball, Ramos, Kaylob Frietza and Longoria turned in a first-place time of of 4:16. the 4x200-meter relay team of Ball, Waylon Welch, Ramos and Longoria finished third with a time of 1:51. The Springlake-Earth Junior High track teams competed at the District 4-1A Meet on April 6th where they took second place overall with 142 points. Individual results are as follows: Boy’s 100-meter dash 1st Levi Hill 12.74 7th Waylon Welch 13.46 Boy’s 200-meter dash 2nd Levi Hill 26.

Sudan Nettes basketball All-State selections

The Sudan Nettes basketball team had several players earn some more post- season honors, headlined by Stevi Lockhart, who was named a TGCA All- State selection, as well as being named to the TGCA All-Legacy Team and the TABC All-Star game. Gracyn Shultz was also a TGCA All-State selection.

Lady Cats drop 12-inning thriller to Lady Cubs, 3-2

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team dropped a heart-breaker in a seeding game to the Brownfield Lady Cubs on Monday at Lubbock High, 3-2, in 12 innings. With the loss, the Lady Cats will enter the Class 3A Softball Play-offs as the three seed.
