Hornets cruise past Crosbyton, 53-12

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team took down Crosbyton at home on Friday, 5312. With the win, the Hornets improve to 5-3 overall, 2-1 in district play. The Hornets totaled 536 yards of total offense, including 287 passing yards and 249 rushing yards.

Lady Cats sweep Childress to clinch play-off birth

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team came out on fire against the Childress Lady Cats on Saturday at home and never let up, as they swept the match, 3-0, to secure a spot in the Class 3A volleyball play-offs. With the win, the Lady Cats improved to 18-12 overall, 4-5 in district play.

Lady Cats win five-set thriller over Tulia

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team won a five-set thriller on the road on Tuesday in Tulia, taking down the Lady Hornets, 3-2, to keep their play-off chances alive. With the win, the Lady Cats improve to 17-12 overall, 3-5 in district play.

Mustangs trample roughnecks, 39-7

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity football team improved to 2-0 in district play on Friday with a, 397, victory over the Sundown Roughnecks. With the win, the Mustangs improve to, 6-1 overall on the season. The Mustangs totaled 393 yards of offense, including 248 rushing yards and 145 passing yards.

Lady Wolverines, Frietze heading to Regionals for Springlake-Earth

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverine and Wolverines’ cross country teams competed at the District 4-1A Cross Country Meet in Tulia on Tuesday, where the Lady Wolverines finished as the District Runner-ups with 41 points. They missed being district champions by one point.

Olton sending pair of athletes to Regionals

The Olton Mustang and Fillies’ varsity cross country teams competed at the District 4-2A Cross Country Meet at LCU on Monday, where the Mustangs finished fifth overall with 115 points and the Fillies finished sixth overall with 147 points.

Bulldogs take bite out of wildcats, 56-0

The Amherst Bulldogs’ varsity football team jumped on Wellman-Union early and never looked back, as they 45’ed the Wildcats, 56-0, at halftime on Thursday at Bulldogs Stadium. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 6-0 heading into district play next week.
