Commissioners to meet Monday

A meeting of the Lamb County Commissioners’ Court will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2023, in the Lamb County Courthouse, where a 13—item agenda will be considered for appropriate action. After the Call to order, the public may request to make a public comment on any of the agenda items.

Grand Jury returns 26 indictments, 8 arrested

The Lamb County Grand Jury for the January Term A.D. 2023 of the Lamb County 154th Judicial District Court met on Wednesday May, 24, 2023, when they returned 26 indictments, nine of which have been arrested.

Lamb County Library ‘All Together Now’

The Lamb County Library had a great start on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 with the program, Cultural Kindness with Kim Lehmen. The first program was attended by 82 children. The Program is for young people ages 6 through 12. The theme for this year’s program is “All Together Now”.

Gov. Abbott IssuesDisaster Declaration for South Plains, Panhandle Flooding

Governor Greg Abbott today issued a disaster declaration for the Texas Panhandle, High Plains, and South Plains regions impacted by severe storms and flooding that began on May 27 and continues to affect homes, businesses, and the agriculture industry throughout the region.

USDA extends application deadline for Revenue Loss Programs to July 14

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is extending the deadline for the Emergency Relief Program (ERP) Phase Two and Pandemic Assistance Revenue Program (PARP) to July 14, 2023, to give producers more time to apply for assistance. The original deadline was June 2.

Ag Disaster Relief Grant Not Included in State Budget

A valiant effort to secure $50 million for disaster relief for cotton infrastructure for the 2022 crop year was unfortunately not included in the final budget and supplemental adopted by the Texas Legislature, despite approving a $321.

Littlefield Day Camp set for June 20 & 21; register by June 9

Hooked on Hope & Lamb County LEAF DFC Coalition, Lamb County 4-H, and other local organizations are hosting a Littlefield Day Camp at Out Place Community Center at Laguna Park on June 20th-21st from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
