The next community prayer meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, at St. John’s Baptist Church, 311 N. Eastside Ave. (Hwy. 385 North), Littlefield. Pastor Ray Trevino will host the meeting.

Lfd. School Board hold regular meeting Monday

The Littlefield Independent School District’s Board of Trustees met in regular session on Monday at noon in the Board Room of the Jerry Blakely Administration Building. The meeting was called to order by Board President Pat Demel and the Invocation was given by Lance Broadhurst.

HB 1 passes unanimously at 88th Legislative Session

Every session, the Texas House and the Texas Senate alternate sponsorship of the budget. By that tradition, the Texas House will sponsor the 88th Legislative Session’s budget. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick issued this statement following the unanimous passage of HB 1, the State Budget.

Littlefield native, Nathan McKinnon, was recently promoted to Head Boy’s Basketball Coach at Littlefield High School. Born and raised in Littlefield, McKinnon graduated from LHS in 2003.
