Amherst Park Project Hamburger Fundraiser

A hamburger fundraiser is being held to benefit the Community Park Project on Thursday, Sept. 21st at 6 p.m. The fundraiser will take place at Amherst Fire Hall, located at 1000 Main Street in Amherst.

Attorney General Paxton Acquitted

Attorney General Ken Paxton was acquitted Saturday of all sixteen articles of impeachment preferred to the Senate by the Houseon the last weekend of the regular session in May and dismissed a further four articles held in abeyance until the end of the trial.

American Flag Disposal

The United States Flag Code states: “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.” The Flag Code does not actually give specifics on how to destroy the flag.
