The Lamb County Leader-News’ Big Bracket Challenge is underway with the first two rounds in the books and plenty of upsets throughout.Joe Lopez leads the field of 34 contestants with 50 points, followed close behind by Tammy McDaniel, who had 48 points.

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting on Monday, March 25th in the County Courtroom at the Courthouse in Littlefield to discuss a 10-item agenda.Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. and the invocation was given by Carla Synatschk.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity baseball team walked off with a, 13-3, victory over 2A #24 New Deal on Saturday to split the season series with the Lions.With the win, the Hornets improve to 9-5 overall, 3-1 in district play.

The Olton Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 30th at the Olton Mustang Football Field.The event is free and registration starts at 1 p.m. The event is for children fifth grade and younger. Accomodations will be made for children with special needs.

On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, the Littlefield Junior Honor Society inducted 21 new members. Selections were made based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, service, and citizenship. To be inducted, a student must have an average of 90 or above in their academic classes.
