Wildcats run rule Cubs, 11-1, to open district

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team run- ruled the Brownfield Cubs last Tuesday to open district play, 11-1, at Wildcat Field.With the win, the Wildcats improved to 8-6 overall, 1-0 in district play.

On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the First Baptist Church in Amherst, Texas, Joy Cantrell presented the welcome to the congregation.Sue Ellen Priddy presented the history of the church: “One hundred years ago, March 23, 1924, marked the beginning of the First Baptist Church of Amherst.

State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $3.7 Billion in February

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.69 billion in February, .05 percent more than in February 2023. The majority of February sales tax revenue is based on sales made in January and remitted to the agency in February.
