Earth to Celebrate 100th Anniversary

Earth is having a celebration honoring it’s 100th anniversary on Saturday, June 15th.Activities will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade down Main Street and will continue to the Rodeo Grounds. There will be a brief history of the town and displays about different people from the area.

Lfd. Board of Trustees holds regular meeting

The Littlefield Independent School District Board of Trustees met in regular session on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 12 p.m. in the Board Room of the Jerry Blakely Administration Building.The meeting was called to order by Board President Pat Demel and the Invocation was given by Gary Birkelbach.

Two-vehicle wreck on US 84 results in one dead

On Wednesday, May 8, at 10:10 p.m. a two vehicle wreck occurred on US Highway 84 near the intersection with Farm to Market Road 37, resulting in one death.A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2009 Toyota Camry was leaving a private drive off of US Highway 84.
Littlefield High School EMT-Basic students and Littlefield EMS members practiced an Extrication drill, that also involved Lfd. Fire Dept., LHC, LPD Dispatch and All-Ways Towing. Students were able to practice how to properly assess and treat a patient during a trauma related scenario. Littlefield EMS Paramedic On May 4th Students enrolled in the EMT- Basic class at Littlefield High School participated in an extrication drill that was coordinated by Littlefield EMS. This practice drill also involved the Littlefield Fire Department, Lamb Healthcare Center, Littlefield Police Dept.
