Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County met in regular session in the Lamb County Courthouse on Monday July 22nd to discuss an eight-item agenda.Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order and there was nobody who requested to speak during the Public Comment portion of the meeting.

SEISD district registration set for Aug. 1st and 2nd

Registration for Springlake-Earth ISD is set for August 1st for Returning Students and August 2nd for New Students in the Technology Building.Returning Students: Returning Students with the last names ending in A-I will register from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Trade Days set for today, Sunday, July 28

Vendors, Food Trucks and Home Goods will be at Zeek’s Trade Days Vendor Market Sunday, July 28 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Zeek’s is located at 1403 E. Waylon Jennings Blvd. In Littlefield.Some of the vender booths include: distributors, crochet, boutiques, sweets, homemade items and permanent jewelry.

Conservation group Wildlife in Focus expands unique photography contest to reach more landowners, photographers statewide

Wildlife in Focus, a non-profit organization which targets wildlife and ecosystem conservation in Texas, recently expanded its popular biennial photography competition in order to reach more landowners and photographers across the state.

Amherst District Registration set for August 5th and 7th

Texas Sales Tax Holiday is Aug. 9-11, Marks 25th Year

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar is reminding shoppers they can save money on clothes and school supplies during the state’s sales tax holiday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-11. This will be the 25th year of Texas’ oldest sales tax holiday.
