Texas pumpkin yields and quality up despite hot summer

The 2024 growing season was good for Texas pumpkin producers, according to a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert and pumpkin farmers. Yields and quality were up for most growers compared to last year.

Anton Cemetery Assoc. to hold annual fundraiser

The Anton Cemetery Association is sponsoring a fundraiser lunch, which will be held on Sunday, October 13th.The fundraiser will begin at 11 a.m. until they run out of supplies.The meal will include a Hamburger, chips and a drink and will cost $10 per plate.

Littlefield EMS to host Hamburger Fundraiser

Littlefield EMS is hosting a Hamburger Fundraiser on Oct. 13th from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with all proceeds going to benefit Chris Thompson.Thompson was injured in a vehicle accident on August 27, 2024, and suffered a spinal cord injury, he is currently in rehab to regain the ability to walk.

Sip & Swirl event to be held Friday, Oct. 11th

The annual Levelland Sip & Swirl event is roughly two weeks out and tickets are currently available for purchase.There are two ticket options (you must be 21 or older to purchase a ticket): VIP ($100) and General Admission ($45).General Admission begins at 6 p.m. and the event lasts until 9:30 p.m.
