Olton sending athletes to Area meet in Floydada

The Olton varsity track teams competed at the District 4-2A Track Meet at Tyler Stadium in Floydada last Thursday and Friday with the Fillies finishing fifth overall with 108 points and the Mustangs finishing fifth with 146 points.

Lady Cats finish off Fillies on Wednesday, 26-13

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team began play on Tuesday with the Fillies in Denver City, but the game had to be postponed until Wednesday, due to an injury to the home-plate umpire.

The Springlake-Earth varsity track teams competed at the District 4-1A Track Meet in Kress on Tuesday with the Lady Wolverines taking first place overall with104 points and the Wolverines finishing second overall with 123 points.

Wildcats fall to Denver City in extras, 7-6

The Littlefield Wildcats’s varsity baseball team traveled to Denver City on Tuesday for their first meeting with the Mustangs, dropping the contests in extra innings, 7-6.With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 9-7 overall, 2-1 in district play.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team fell to the Brownfield Lady Cubs at home last Tuesday, 16-13, in district play.With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 11-4 overall, 1-3 in district play.
