Nettes take down Lady OWls, 26-13

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity softball team got back into the win column on Tuesday with a, 26-13, home victory over the Hale Center Lady Owls. With the win, the Nettes improve to 2-1 in district play.

Mustangs earn All-District basketball post-season honors

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team finished the season as 2A Regional Semi-Finalists this year and earned several postseason All-District Honors. Senior, Chris Urbina, headlined the lists, earning the District’s MVP Award, while junior, Jake Soliz, was named the District’s Defensive MVP and Head Coach Bobby Workman was named Co-Coach of the Year for the District.

TENORIO’S 3 HOMERUNS LEAD LADY CATS PAST LCHS, 22-8

Alex Tenorio had a day for the Lady Cats’ varsity softball team on Saturday, as she blasted three homeruns in a 4-4 day at the plate against Lubbock Christian High School at the Seminole Tournament, as Littlefield took the contest, 22-8.

WOLVERINES DROP OPENER TO NEW HOME JV, 4-3

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity baseball team braved the elements on Thursday, as they fell to New Home’s JV, 4-3, in their tournament-opener of the 2022 Shorty Barlow Classic. With the loss, the Wolverines fall to 0-1 in tournament play.

Olton Fillies’ basketball team earns All-District honors

The Olton Fillies’ varsity basketball team, who finished the season as Bi-district champs and Area finalists were well represented on the District 3-2A All-District teams. The Fillies boasted three First-Team All-District selections in senior, Shaylee Leathers and junior, Kylee Noack and Makenly Smith.
