NEttes clash with Lady wolves for bi-district

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity softball team clashed with the Colorado City Lady Wolves on Thursday in the program’s first ever play-off appearance, falling to the Lady Wolves in the 2A Bi-district round, 10-5.With the loss, the Nettes finish the season with an overall record of 11-11.

Wildcats blast swifts, 19-1

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team won a non-district match-up over the Nazareth Swifts on Friday, 19-1, at Wildcat Field.With the win, the Wildcats improve to 12-8 overall on the year.

SLADE NICKELS EARNS TRIP TO STATE FOR SUDAN

The Sudan varsity track teams competed at the Region I-2A Regional Track Meet at West Texas A&M University in Canyon on Friday and Saturday with the Hornets finishing 19th overall with 10 points and the Nettes finishing 26th overall with four points.

The Sprignlake- Earth Wolverines’ varsity baseball team dropped their district game against the Crosbyton Chieftains in Littlefield on Thursday, 14-4, in six innings.

S-E’s GOODMAN, Samaron earn bids to state meet

The Springlake-Earth varsity track teams competed at the Region I Regional Track Meet at South Plains College in Levelland on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Wolverines placed fifth overall with 40 points, while the Wolverines finished 17th with 11 points.

Nettes shutout Fillies, 16-0

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity softball team won their regular season finalee over the Olton Fillies on Saturday, 16-0, in Sudan.With the win the Nettes finish the regular season 11-10 overall, 9-5 in district play.

OLTON COMPETES AT 2a REGIONAL TRACK MEET

The Olton varsity track teams competed at the Region I-2A Regional Track Meet at West Texas A&M University in Canyon on Friday and Saturday with the Hornets finishing 24th overall with six points.Individual results are as follows: Boy’s 3,200-meter run 13th Jacob Escobar 11:04.

Hornets, mustnags split double-header

The Sudan Hornets and Olton Mustang’s varsity baseball team split a double-header on Wednesday in Olton. Olton took game one, 8- 6, while Sudan won game two, 22-3.In game one, both teams scratched three runs across in the first inning, before going scoreless through the second inning.
