area athletes represent lamb county at State track meet

Springlake-Earth and Sudan were represented at the U.I.L. State Track Meet this past weekend where they brought home two gold medals and two silver medals.For Sudan, they were represented by Slade Nickels, who took second place in the 2A men’s high jump competition, where he cleared the bar at 6’5”.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team run-ruled the Crane Golden Cranes, 11-1, on Saturday in Seminole to claim the Class 3A Bidistrict Championship.With the win, the Wildcats improve to 14-10 overall on the season.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity baseball team took down the Tahoka Bulldogs in game three Saturday afternoon, 14-6, to claim the programs first gold glove in their two-year existance.With the win, the Hornets improve to 19-7 overall on the year.
