Hornets come up short against Broncos in game 1

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity baseball team dropped a heartbreaker in game one of their Class 2A Area play- off series with Clarendon, 11- 10 in nine innings on Thursday in Floydada.With the loss, the Hornets fall to 19- 8 overall on the season.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity baseball team dropped game two of their 3A Area Play-off series with Clarendon on Friday, 9-2, in Floydada.With the loss, the Hornets’ season comes to an end with a mark of 19-9 overall.

Wolverines come up one stroke short of top 3 finish at State golf Tournament

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity golf team competed at the 1A State Golf Tournament on Monday and Tuesday at the Crystal Falls Golf Course in Leander, Texas, where they finished one stroke shy of a top three finish with a team score of 698.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team won an extra inning thriller on Friday in Seminole, as they took game one of their three-game series over the Crane Golden Cranes, 3-2, in nine innings.With the win, the Wildcats improved to 13-10 overall on the year.
