The Amherst Bulldogs’ varsity football team won a non-district matchup over the Wellman-Union Wildcats last Thursday, 58-8, at halftime. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 6-1 overall, 1-0 in district play.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity football team went on the road and took down the Lockney Longhorns on Friday, 48-21, in district play. With the win, the Hornets improve to 6-1 overall, 2-0 in district play.

The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team finished sixth overall on Monday with 163 points at the District 4-2A Cross County Meet that was ran at Lubbock Christian University. The Hornets were led by Alan Flores, who placed 11th overall with a time of 19:23.

The Olton Fillies’ junior high cross country team finished fourth on Monday at the District 4-2A Cross County Meet with 93 points at Lubbock Christian University. The Fillies were led by Gabriella Reyes, who placed seventh overall with a time of 14:13.

The Olton Colts’ junior high cross country team finished as the runner-ups on Monday at the District 4-2A Cross County Meet with 57 points at Lubbock Christian University. The Colts were led by Colby Burns, who placed second overall, clocking a time of 12:37.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team opened the second half of district play on Saturday at Idalou, where they fell to the Lady Cats in straight sets, 0-3. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 18-11 overall, 1-4 in district play.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity cross country team finished third overall on Monday with 77 points at the District 4-2A Cross County Meet that was ran at Lubbock Christian University. The Mustangs were led by Harry Amador, who placed fourth overall with a time of 18:22.

The Olton Fillies’ varsity cross country team finished fourth overall on Monday with 104 points at the District 4-2A Cross County Meet that was ran at Lubbock Christian University. The Fillies were led by Kylee Noack, who placed third overall, clocking a time of 13:42.
