The Sudan Hornets’ varsity basketball team competed at the Caprock Classic this past week, where they went 0-4 on the tournament. In their first game against McKinney Christian Academy, The Hornets fell, 85-23.

Mustangs place second at Wildcat Classic

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team fell to the Farwell Steers on Thursday, 61-35, in the Championship Game of the 31st annual Wildcat Classic Basketball Tournament. With the loss, the Mustangs finish tournament play with a mark of 2-1.

Lady Wolverines comeback falls short against Andrews, 38-35

The Lady Wolverines varsity basketball team’s comeback efforts fell short against the Andrews Fillies on Tuesday, 39-35, at the Wildcat Classic. Jayci Richters dropped in a lay-up off of the assist from Kenzie Miller to open the contest for Andrews, but on the other end, Taytum Goodman was fouled on an attempt by Miller, earning a trip to the line.

Lady Cats survive against Fillies in overtime, 51-46

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team survived an overtime thriller against the Olton Fillies, 51-46, in their tournament-opener at the Wildcat Classic on Tuesday. Kennadi Hanlin grabbed a steal and was fouled on the shot attempt by Olivia Cox.

Mustangs open Wildcat Classic with victory over Roosevelt Eagles, 69-61

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team rallied back to defeated the Roosevelt Eagles on Tuesday, 6961, in their Wildcat Classic Tournament- opener. The Roosevelt Eagles opened the contest on a, 7-0, scoring run, before Olton took a time out with 5:41 remaining in the opening quarter to talk things over.

NETTES CRUISE PAST RALLS, 70-26

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball cruised to a, 70-26, victory over the Ralls Lady Rabbits on Tuesday night. With the win, the Nettes improve to 11-7 overall, 3-0 in district play.
