The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team shutout the Friona Chieftains in five innings on Tuesday evening, 18-0, at Wildcat Field.With the win, the Wildcats improve to 17-7 overall, 8-3 in district play.
The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity golf team placed second at the Regional Golf Tournament at Meadowbrook in Lubbock, punching their ticket to the State Golf Tournament. Tyler Tanaro shot a 167, while Ethan Mosqueda shot a 169, Froylan Agundiz shot a 180 and Jacob Alvarez shot a 217. The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team dropped a tough loss to the District- leading Muleshoe Lady Mules on Tuesday, 10-9.With the loss, the lady Cats fall to 14-7 overall, 6-4 in district play.The game remained scoreless until the top of the third inning.

The Littlefield JV track teams competed at the Mustang Relays in Shallowater last Thursday with the Lady Cats placing first overall with 144 points and the Wildcats placing third with 107 points.Individual results are as follows:Girl’s 100-meter dash8th Jaelyn Tijerina 15.
