Eighth grade Fillies win District 3-2A Track Meet

The Olton Colts and Fillies’ seventh and eighth grade track teams competed at the District 3-2A Track Meet on Tuesday that took place in Olton. The eighth grade Fillies placed first overall with 161 points, while the eigth grade Colts finished second with 122 points.

WILDCATS WALK IT OFF IN EXTRAS AGAINST FALCONS

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity baseball team won an extra-inning thriller over Bushland on Friday, 7-6, in nine innings. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 5-7-1 overall heading into district play.

LADY CATS COME UP SHORT AGAINST LADY CUBS, 7-5

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity softball team lost a tough contest to the Brownfield Lady Cubs in Littlefield on Saturday, 7-5. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 7-6 overall, 0-2 in district play. It was a pitcher’s duel through the first 2.

Wolverine track team competes at New Deal

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity track team competed at New Deal on Friday finishing seventh overall with 10 points. Individual results are as follows: Boy’s 800-meter run 6 th Josh Samaron 2:18.71 12 th Gavin Gonzales 2:26.52 Boy’s 1,600-meter run 4 th Josh Samaron 5:07.

Lfd. track teams compete at Post, Sundown meets

The Littlefield varsity track teams competed at the Bold Gold Caprock Relays in Post on Friday. The Lady Cats finished fourth at Post with 53 points, while the Wildcats finished fifth with 66 points. Shot Put and Discus athletes competed at the Roughneck Relays in Sundown.
