The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team cruised past the Ozone Lady Lions on Tuesday, 71-37, to claim the Class 2A Region I Area Championship at Big Spring High School. With the win, the Nettes improve to 16-12 overall.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team was well represented on the District 3-2A AllDistrict team, led by senior, Jack Allcorn, who was the District’s MVP. Junior, Chris Urbina, was the District’s Offensive MVP, while seniors, Bryson Ramage and Israel Santillan earned first team All-District selections.

The fourth seeded Littlefield Wildcats’ varstiy basketball team won an overtime thriller over the number one seeded Alpine Bucks at Andrews High School on Saturday, 53-52, to claim the Region I 3A Bi-district championship.

The #12 Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team suffered a heart-breaking defeat in the Class 2A Bi-district round of the basketball play-offs on Friday at LCU, as they fell to the Ralls Jackrabbits, 57-54.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity basketball team saw their season come to an end in the Class 3A Area round of the basketball play-offs as they fell to #1 Shallowater, 68-31. With the loss, the Lady Cats finished the season with a mark of 12-8 overall, 10-2 in district play.
