S-E Lady Wolverines stumble against Happy

The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity basketball team fell to the Happy Cowgirls on Tuesday, 42-30. With the loss, the Lady Wolverines fall to, 9-16 overall, 3-5 in district play. The Lady Wolverines were led in scoring by Emma Samaron, who tallied 12 points and seven rebounds.

Lady Bulldogs come up short against Whiteface

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity basketball team fell to the Morton Maidens on Friday, 60-27, in Amherst. The Maidens outscored the Lady Bulldogs, 12-6, in the first quarter, and, 17-6, in the second frame to take a, 29-12, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Anton boys fall to Panthers, 69-40

The Anton Bulldogs’ varsity basketball team, dropped their district match-up with Whitharral on Tuesday, 69-40. The Panthers outscored the Bulldogs, 16-12, in the opening quarter and, 16-5, in the second frame to take a, 32-17, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Amherst holds off Indians, 53-49

The Amherst Bulldogs’ varsity basketball team took down the Morton Indians in Amherst on Friday, 53-49. Amherst netted 14 points in the first quarter and outscored Morton, 9-7, in the second frame to take a, 23-16, lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team used a big third quarter to pull away from the Muleshoe Mules on Friday, taking the contest on the road, 68-48, in their second meeting of district 3-3A play. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 14-11 overall, 6-1 in district play.

Nettes take down Olton Fillies, 59-35

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team pulled away in the second half of their contest with the Olton Fillies on Friday to take the district contest, 59-35. With the win, the Nettes improve to 19-8 overall, 10-1 in district play, while the Fillies fall to 8-3 in district play.
