The Sudan Hornets’ varsity cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday, where they finished 12 th overall with a total of 310 points. Senior, Edgar Delgado, finished 53 rd with a time of 21:38.1, while sophomore, Alan Flores, finished 56 th with a time of 21:42.7, and sophomore, Joseph Willeford, finished 86 th with a time of 23:45.1.

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday, where they placed ninth overall with a total of 262 points. Freshman, Addisyn Harrell, led the team, placing 17 th overall with a time of 13:59.5.

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday, where they finished 14 th overall with a total of 331 points. Freshman, Harry Amador, finished 62 nd overall with a time of 21:57.4, while junior, Javan Bueno, finished 67 th overall with a time of 22:32.2.

The Olton Fillies’ varsity cross country team competed at the Lubbock ISD Invitational on Saturday, where they finished 23 rd overall with a total of 586 points. Freshman, Yareli Santillan, led the Fillies, finishing 38 th overall, clocking a time of 14:46.1.

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team improved to 4-1 on the season on Friday, as they 45’ed White Deer in the first half, 47-0. The Wolverines struck first, as Braxton Ethridge connected with Dereck Rosalez for a 39- yard touchdown.

The Wolverines were led by senior, Josh Samaron, who placed 9 th , clocking a time of 19:25.4, while senior, Trace Goodman, also medaled, clocking a time of 20:08.9.

The Littlefield Lady Cats’ varsity volleyball team dropped a heart-breaker on Saturday in Denver City, falling to the Fillies in five sets, 2-3. With the loss, the Lady Cats fall to 1-1 in district play.
