The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team finished as the Runner-ups of the Whiteface Basketball Tournament this weekend. On Thursday, they defeated Lockney, 63-52, and Whiteface, 2919, and on Friday, they defeated Friona, 63-37, before falling in the championship game on Saturday to Plains, 64-48. The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team went 5-0 this week in Lamesa at the O.W. Follis Tournament to claim first place. On Thursday, they defeated Stanton, 86-34, and Socorro, 57-29, and on Friday they defeated Borger, 74-66, and Post, 82-16, before defeating Coloroado High School on Saturday in the Championship game, 68-34.
