The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team bounced the Hart Longhorns on Friday, 92-37, behind five players finishing in double-figures scoring.
With the win, the Wolverines improve to 15-6 overall, 8-0 in district play.
The Wolverines jumped on the Longhorns early, pouring in 22 points in the opening frame. They added 15 in the second quarter to take a, 37-14, lead into the locker room at halftime.
In the second half, the Wolverines poured in 27 points in the third quarter and 28 in the fourth quarter to take the contest, 92-37.
Evan DeLeon led the team in scoring with 20 points, while Trace Goodman chipped in 17 points, Keshan Holmes contributed 15 points, Kaden Castillo tallied 14 points and JJ Jaramillo finished with 11 points.
Alex Alvarez tallied six points, while Josh Samaron added five points and Cain Tovar and Micah Sanchez each finished with two points.
The Wolverines were at Anton on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Friday with a home game against Kress.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
