The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity cross country team earned the District 4-A Championship last week at Plainview with 21 points to qualify them for Regionals.
Junior, Josh Samaron, earned top honors, placing first overall with a time of 17:22.41. Junior, Evan DeLeon, finished fourth overall with a time of 18:23.28, while junior, Trace Goodman, finished fifth overall with a time of 18:28.88.
Junior, Kaden Castillo, finished sixth overall with a time of 18:36.22, while freshman, Gavin Gonzales, finished ninth with a time of 18:46.81.
Sophomore, Alex Alvarez, finished 12th with a time of 19:25.94, while senior, Daryl Castillo, finished 13th with a time of 19:35.12.
The Regional Meet will be held Nov. 9th and 10th at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
