The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity football team had their introduction into six-man football on Friday against the Whitharral Panthers, where they emerged victorious with a, 58-42, victory.

With the win, the Wolverines improve to 1-0 overall on the season.

Head Coach Israel DeLeon talked about the game, saying, “I feel our offense made plays when we had to. We will have continue to execute going into Hart.”

He added, “Defensively, we made some big stops and we won the turnover battle. But, we will have to improve on our open field tackling.”

This week they focus their attention on their road match-up against the Hart Longhorns.

The contest is set to kick-off at 7:30 p.m. at Longhorn Stadium in Hart.
