The Commissioners Court of Lamb County met in regular session on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at the Lamb County Courthouse to discuss a 10-item agenda.

Lamb County Judge Mike DeLoach called the meeting to order and there was nobody present for public comment.

The consent agenda items; (a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Regular Meeting, August 1, 2022 and August 8, 2022; (b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers; None; (c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Gina Jones (d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; None (e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; None The motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry to approve the consent agenda items. The motion carried. Item four on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on 2022-2023 County Clerk’s Records Archive Fee Plan. The Motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Kent Lewis to approve 2022-2023 County Clerk’s Records Archive Fee Plan. The motion carried.

Next, the Commissioners considered and took appropriate action on November 8, 2022, Notice of General Election and Polling Places. The motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve the November 8, 2022, Notice of General Election and Polling Places. The motion carried.

The Commissioners also considered and took appropriate action on Lamb County’s Retiring Employees Insurance for 2022-2023. The motion was made by Commissioner DeBerry and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve the Lamb County’s Retiring Employees Insurance for 2022-2023. The motion carried.

There was no report given for Lamb Healthcare operations. No representative from Lamb Healthcare Center present.

The court discussed Future agenda items; August 25th at 2 p.m. open bids for Ag Barn; August 29th at 10 a.m. Contractor on board for Ag Barn October 1st – Ag Barn closed. Budget Work Session; Auditor filed the Proposed Budget on Friday Aug. 12, 2022. Sheriff Maddox cannot get shelving as proposed in this Budget. Consider TCCC Civil Clerk Part time position. Consider Non Profit groups requesting County monies. Lamb Healthcare Center/Hospital has not turned in a Budget to County Auditor.

With there being no further business to come before this Commissioners Court, the motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to adjourn. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned.
