Sudan Nettes throttle Hale 94-35

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team throttled the Hale Center Lady Owls on Tuesday, 94-35.

The Nettes jumped out to a, 22-8, lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They poured in 28 points in the second quarter to take a, 50-15, lead into the locker room at halftime.

In the third quarter, they outscored Hale Center, 20-10, and they closed out the game with a 24-point fourth quarter to take the contest, 94-35.

Addison Boehning led the team in scoring with 22 points, to go along with nine rebounds, four steals and two assists, while junior, Liz Sital, chipped in 17 points, 13 rebounds, six teals and three assists.

Sophomore, Gracyn Shultz, tallied 14 points, six rebounds, two steals and one assist, while senior, Zoey Cantu, contributed 11 points, six rebounds, three steals and one assist.

Sophomore, Braelyn Pointer, netted nine points, to go along with seven rebounds, two steals and one assist, and Elaine Martinez added seven points, three rebounds and one steal. Sophomore, Stevi Lockhart, tallied six points, three assists, one rebound, one steal and one block, while Kambry Tolbert added four points, five rebounds and two assists.

Landree Gonzales tallied two points and four rebounds, while Sydney Cornelius finished with two points, two rebounds and one assist.

The Nettes were at Idalou on Saturday to take on the Lady Cats. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Tuesday at home against Abernathy.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
