    The Springlake-Earth Wolverines and Lady Wolverines’ varsity track teams competed at the Region I-1A Track Meet at South Plains College on Friday and Saturday with four athletes advancing to the State Track Meet in Austin.

    Taytum Goodman led the way, placing second in the 400-meter dash and taking first place in both the 800 and 1,600-meter runs. Braxton Ethridge claimed the Regional Championship in both the 110 and 300-meter hurdles, while Carsann Baker placed second in the Pole Vault and Trace Goodman took first place in the 400-meter dash to claim the Regional Championship in the event.
