S-E Wolverines bounce Anton on the road, 75-25

The Springlake-Earth Wolverines’ varsity basketball team throttled the Anton Bulldogs on Friday, 75-25, to stay unbeaten in district play.

With the win, the Wolverines improve to 12-3 overall, 9-0 in district play.

In the first quarter, junior, Evan DeLeon, knocked down a pair of threes, as the Wolverines jumped out to a, 19-2, lead at the end of the first quarter. In quarter number two, Kaden Castillo, went off for 13 points, as the Wolverines took a 42-7, lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Wolverines outscored Anton, 17-9, in the third quarter and 16-9, in the fourth quarter to take the victory, 75-25.

DeLeon finished with 20 points, while Castillo finished with 19 points and junior, Trace Goodman, contributed 12 points. Timothy Tanaro, tallied nine points, while Alex Alvarez finished with seven points, and junior, Keshan Holmes and senior, Daryl Castillo, each finished with two points.

The Wolverines were at Kress on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. The Wolverines will be at Amherst on Friday at district play winds down.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
