Pair of Amherst runners earn bids to Regionals

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity cross country team had two runners qualify for the Regional Cross Country Meet on Tuesday at the District 4-A Cross Country Meet in Plainview.

Senior, Lizbeth Medrano, placed fifth overall with a time of 14:00.09, while freshman, Dennys Reyes, placed seventh overall with a time of 14:30.47.

Also competing was freshman, Maricella Gonzales, who finished 31^st with a time of 19:16.47.

The Regional Cross Country Meet will take place on Nov. 9^th and 10^th at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
