Olton Mustangs sting Hornets at home, 85-20

The number 19 state ranked Olton Mustangs took down the Sudan Hornets on Tuesday, 85-20, at Mustangs Gym.

With the win, the Mustangs improve to 15-1 overall, while the Hornets fall to 1-13 overall on the season.

Olton jumped out to a fast start, pouring in 26 points in the first quarter. They added 20 points in the second quarter to take a, 46-14, lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Hornets were outscored, 17-5, in the third quarter and, 22-1, in the fourth quarter, as they fell to the Mustangs, 85-20.

The Mustangs were led in scoring by Chris Urbina, who netted 16 points in the contest. He was joined in doublefigures scoring by Jack Allcorn and Israel Santillan, who each finished with 15 points and Bryson Ramage, who tallied 12 points.

Andrew Martinez netted nine points, while Aldo Vasquez chipped in six points and Alex Santillan and Jake Soliz each finished with five points. Joe Canchola also added two points in the contest.

Michael Limon led the Hornets in scoring with 10 points, while Sal Juarez chipped in seven points and Trent Wilson added two points. Abram Rodriguez finished with one point in the contest.

The Mustangs opened district play on Friday at home against Vega. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Tuesday with a road game against Boys Ranch. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
