NETTES FALL AT HOME TO NAZARETH, 47-27

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell to the Nazareth Swiftettes on Friday, 47-27, at home.

With the loss, the Nettes fall to 2-3 overall on the season.

It was a close game early-on, with the Nettes, trailing, 11-6, at the end of the first frame, but Nazareth opened it up in the second quarter, taking a, 28-12, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Nazareth won the third quarter, outscoring Sudan, 12-6, but the Nettes outscored the Swiftettes, 9-7, in the final frame, however, it was not enough to overcome the early deficit.

Junior, Addison Boehning, led the team in scoring with nine points, to go along with four rebounds and two steals. Junior, Liz Sital, chipped in seven points, five rebounds and five steals, while sophomore, Stevi Lockhart, contributed five points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Sophomore, Gracyn Shultz, tallied four points and four rebounds, while sophomore, Braelyn Pointer, chipped in two points, one rebound and one steal. Sophomore, Sydney Cornelius, contributed one rebound and one steal, while sophomore, Kambry Tolbert, added two rebounds and sophomore, Elaine Martinez, finished with one rebound.

The Nettes hosted Canyon Randall on Monday. Results were not available at press time. They traveled to Lubbock Christian on Tuesday and will play Borden County at RIP Griffin in Lubbock on Dec. 1”.

Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
