Mustangs top Indians, 77-26

The Olton Mustangs’ varsity basketball team defeated Morton last week, 77-26, to improve to 13-1 overall on the season.

The Mustangs poured in 22 points in the first quarter, to jump ahead of the Indians early, taking a, 22-9 lead into quarter number two. In the second frame, Olton added 18 points to take a, 40-13, lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Mustangs added 20 points in the third quarter and 17 in the fourth quarter to take the contest, 77-26.

Chris Urbina led the team in scoring with a game-high 14 points, and he was joined in double-figures scoring by Jack Allcorn, who netted 12 points and Israel Santillan, who finished with 10 points.

Brennon Huguley tallied nine points, while Jake Soliz and Bryson Ramage each finished with eight points and Andrew Martinez and Ty Struve each finished with three points. Alex Santillan and Joe Canchola each added two points in the contest.
