The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines varsity cross country team took first place at the LCU Chaparral Invitational last Friday with a combined time of 1:08:15.70.

The Lady Wolverines were led by freshman, Taytum Goodman, who finished first place overall with a time of 11:16.30. Freshman, DeDe Delgado, placed sixth with a time of 13:46.90, while freshman, Emma Samaron, finished eighth with a time of 13:59.80.

Sophomore, Kani Holmes, finished ninth with a time of 14:17.50, while junior, Mahalia Delgado, fin ished 16 th with a time of 14:55.20. Freshman, Angelina Tovar, finished 17 th with a time of 15:07.30, while freshman, Adamarie Hernandez, finished 25 th with a time of 15:50.30 and senior, Carsann Baker, finished 27 th with a time of 16:06.70.

Freshman, Sydney Furr, finished 28 th with a time of 16:07.50 and junior, Kimberly Cruz, finished 37 th with a time of 16:49.60.

The Lady Wolverines will be back in action on Saturday, as they compete at Plainview.
