The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ cross country team punched their ticket to the 1A State Cross Country Meet on Monday at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock, as they placed first overall as a team with 97 points.
Junior, Taytum Goodman, clocked a time of 11:06.40, to bring home her third consecutive Regional Championship.
Freshman, Aabriella Villanueva, placed sixth overall with a time of 13:10.90, while junior, Emma Samaron, finished 24th with a time of 13:54.50. Sophomore, Rylie Furr, placed 35th overall with a time of 14:20.80, while sophomore, Aryca Ibarra, finished 40th with a time of 14:26.60.
Senior, Jenna Bridges, finished 69th with a time of 15:20.40, and sophomore, Marisela Rodriguez finished 88th with a time of 15:35.90. The State Cross Country Meet will be held at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Texas on Saturday, Nov. 5th. The Lady Wolverines will run at 11:40 a.m. that day.
