Lady Bulldogs drop heartbreaker to Lazbuddie, 22-18

The Amherst Lady Bulldogs’ varsity basketball team dropped a tough contest last week to the Lazbuddie Lady Horns, 22-18.

Lazbuddie led Amherst, 4-0, at the end of the first quarter, and took an, 8-2, lead into the locker room at halftime.

Amherst rallied back in the third quarter, pouring in nine points to cut the lead to three points, 14-11, but in the fourth quarter, the Lady Horns edged out Amherst, 8-7, to hold on to take the contest, 22-18.

Liz Medrano led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 11 points, while Jasmine Acosta tallied six points and Kat Amalla finished with one point in the contest.
