STATE QUALIFIERS - Springlake-Earth juniors, Taytum Goodman and Emma Samaron, both qualified for the State Track Meet in Austin this past weekend at the 1A Regional Track Meet. Goodman set two Regional record in the women’s 3,200-meter run and the 1,600-meter run and also took first in the 800-meter run. The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ varsity track team placed fifth at the Region I-1A Track Meet at South Plains College on Friday and Saturday with 46 points.

Girl’s High Jump
10th Emma Samaron J4-06.00 Freshman, Robert Flores, got 13th in the men’s 300-meter hurdles preliminaries with a time of 47.97, while Sophomore, Dadwin Perez, got 10th in the men’s 400-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 55.35. Flores also got 9th in the men’s 110-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 18.32.
The women’s 4x200-meter relay team of Rylie Furr, Aryca Ibarra, Jenna Bridges and Adamarie Hernandez got 14th in the preliminaries with a time of 2:02.35, while the women’s 4x400-meter relay team of Furr, Ibarra, Samaron and Villanueva finished 13th in the preliminaries with a time of 4:45.90.
The women’s 4x100-meter relay team of Jessica Mendoza, Violeta Martinez, Halee Toscano and Bridges finished 16th in the preliminaries with a time of 59.64.
