Goodman places first in 5K, Lady Wolverines finish 6th in 2 mile

The Lady Wolverines were back on the trail Friday morning, as they competed at the Amarillo College Badger Run, which took place at John Stiff Memorial Park.

Two-time 1A State Cross Country Champion junior, Taytum Goodman, ran the women’s 5,000Meter race against 4A-6A girls and placed first overall, clocking a time of 18:47.11.

The Lady Wolverines’ varsity cross country team placed sixth in the Women’s two-mile race of 1A4A Schools with 157 points.

Junior, Emma Samaron, placed 21st overall, clocking a time of 17: 02.94, while sophomore, Marisela Rodriguez, finished 29th with a time of 17:59.57, and sophomore, Aryca Ibarra, finished 33rd with a time of 18:15.74.

Riley Furr finished 34th with a time of 18:26.35, while Jessica Mendoza finished 38th with a time of 20:10.21, and junior, Jasmine Garcia finished 53rd with a time of 21:11.72. Senior, Jenna Bridges, finished 60th with a time of 22:33.44.

The cross country team will be back in action on October 1st in Sundown.
