The Olton Fillies varsity basketball team rallied behind a big second half to edge out the Ralls Lady Rabbits, 49-47, on Tuesday in Plainview, to claim the 2A Region I Bi-district trophy.
With the win, the Fillies improve to 15-12 overall on the season.
Ralls jumped out to an early lead, 8-7, at the end of the first quarter. They outscored the Fillies, 12-11, in the second quarter to take a, 20-18, lead into the locker room at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Fillies poured in 15 points to take the lead, 33-31, heading into the final quarter of play. In the fourth quarter, both teams netted 16 points, as the Fillies were able to hold off Ralls for the Bi-district victory, 49-47.
Shaylee Leathers and Celestte Ramirez each led the team in scoring with 11 points apiece, while Karla Arriola joined them in double-figures scoring with 10 points.
Makenly Smith tallied nine points in the contest, while Olivia Cox and Kylee Noack each finished with four points in the contest.
The Fillies will play Gruver in the 2A Area round of the play-offs next week.
