The Anton Bulldogs’ varsity football team stayed undefeated on the season last week with a, 49-0, shutout over Lorenzo. This week they turn their attention to their road match-up with the Whiteface Antelopes.

Head Coach Matthew Hoover talked about the contest, saying, “We took away the fact that it was a great overall effort form all of our kids. We had two starters out and needed some kids to step up big and they did. As coaches we couldn’t be more proud of our kids.”

The Coach talked about their match-up with the Antelopes, saying, “Offensively we must clean up a lot of little things. We had some dumb, pointless penalties that hurt us early in the game.”

He added, “We also need to be a little more focused on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, I think we are right where we need to be. The physicality that we displayed is what we have been building towards over the last two years. There is still room to improve though.”

Kick-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Whiteface.
