The Anton Bulldogs’ varsity football team claimed the District 3-A Six-Man DII Championship and will be playing Sands in the Bi-district round of the play-offs Head Coach Matthew Hoover talked about the match-up, saying, “Sands will be tough and physical. They are a school with rich tradition so they will be ready to play. They are similar to us last year, nobody expected them to be in this situation and here they are.” He added, “Riley Webb is a solid football player and Michael Diaz is a speedy running back that is shifty and has good vision.”
The Coach talked about what they will have to do in order to be successful on Friday, saying, “We have to get back to playing team defense and hunt like a pack of dogs. We are ready to get back out there.” Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m. at Whiteface.
