Travis Maurice “Bud” Anderson Sr., age 77, passed away on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020 at home on his farm. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Anton with David Carpenter and Harold Carey officiating. Interment followed at Anton Cemetery.

Billie Higgins Elms, age 93, passed away Sept. 14, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. She was born Dec. 19, 1926 in Wellington, TX to the late Dutch and Katie Higgins. She graduated from Littlefield High School, and attended Draughons Business College, Lubbock. Billie Kathenne married M. A. (Rip) Elms, Jr.

John Roy Jacobs

John Roy Jacobs, age 76, passed away on Sept. 15, 2020. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18,2020 atthe Hammons Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at a later date at Quanah Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.

In Loving Memory Of Larry Sanderson

Larry Lavonne Sanderson was born in Littlefield, TX, on June 7, 1934, to S.W. and Jesse Sanderson, the oldest of six children. He attended schools in Littlefield, the class of 1952. On June 9, 1954, he married Linnie Rae Enloe of Amherst, TX. They have four daughters.

Robert “Dee” Ayala, of Littlefield passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020 in Lubbock. He was born May 23, 1953 in San Antonio, TX to Rudy Ayala Sr. and Olivia (Sanchez) Ayala. Dee was a funny storyteller. He liked playing the slot machines and the Lottery and doing puzzles.

Joe Lopez “Big Joe”, 65 of Littlefield, TX, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 in Littlefield. A memorial service to honor Joe’s life will be held at the Ag Center in Littlefield at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020.

NANCY PHILLPS

Nancy Phillps passed away on Sept. 8, 2020. She was born July 31, 1939 to J.D. and Margie Murray in Childress, TX. Nancy graduated from Hart High School in 1957. She married J.P. Nafzger and farmed south of Olton.

In Loving Memory Of Charles Richard Edgemon

Charles Richard Edgemon of Anton, TX died peacefully on Sept. 7, 2020, in a nursing home in Tyler, TX, at the age of 79. Charles was born in Wichita Falls, TX on Nov. 10, 1940, to Leroy and Ruby Edgemon. He and his family lived in Tennessee for a while before moving back to Wichita Falls.

Joe Lopez “Big Joe”, 65 of Littlefield, TX, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 in Littlefield. He was born Oct. 30, 1953 in Ralls, TX to Juan and Isabell (Machado) Lopez. Joe married Norma Rangel Dec. 7, 1992 in Littlefield. He was a commercial truck driver for many years.
